THE youngest Irwin is following in the TV hosting footsteps of his Crocodile Hunter father and big sister, Bindi.
Robert Irwin, the nine-year-old son of the late Steve Irwin, will co-host Wild But True on Discovery Kids Asia.
God he's cute!

There were rumors that Terri may sell the zoo and move back to America....Bob wouldn't have liked that?

I rest my case.

What case????
If she wanted to sell the zoo that would be her choice. Her husband had died and like many women in that position need to move on.

Your article proved what I had said. That the plans he and his beloved son had made together for thirty years were evaporating. The almighty dollar had become the driving force, and that is not what was the original motive. It stands to reason that as well as losing his son, he was disappointed in the changes.
Apart from that, grandparents and extended family, whether or not they are perfect, are so important to any child's life, and to deny them those people is a form of child abuse IMO.
And also in the article, Bob declined to be personal.

I don't know, Icy, only the people involved know. But Bob is a very soft and emotional person, and I think in one television interview a few years ago he said that he wished his grandchildren could visit him and see what he was doing with wildlife. My opinion, and my opinion only, is that the other person is not a soft person, and seems to be very rigid and driven to me. But, none of us can really know the real situation.

IMO and according to articles he removed himself. Sounds like Bob may have issues with losing his son, nothing to do with Terri and the children? He lost his first wife than a son, not easy to live with?

No. why do you ask? What I said has been well documented in the media. Bob had been on television many times saying how sad he is that he does not have contact with the children. Also how sad he is that Steve's dreams have all but been discarded.
I ask because I never consider that the media reports anything correctly and I thought you may have known them personally.
I think we can read anything into what has happened, if I wanted to see my grandchildren, with regard to what I might want, or think my deceased child might want, I would not speak of it to the media.......I would respect the decisions made by their remaining parent.
It's beyond silly to choose a path that isolates you from them. (imo)
I think Terri probably has a clearer idea of what Steve may have wanted for his family and his work.

If Bob really wanted to see his grandchildren he would. He was involved in their lives previously and that would stand well in court.

It was not a media report. It was Bob himself speaking. There is nothing wrong with saying that you are sad. If I remember, Steve himself was not entirely happy about the way the zoo was changing, but when there is a stronger person involved.....
I don't think Bob 'chose the path of isolation'. I doubt that he had a choice.
I have met Terri, a long time ago, before her marriage, but only to say hello when introduced. She came to talk to students at the medical school. I do remember a couple of doctors drooling at her khaki shorts and what they enclosed.
