Crowd Funding

Can anyone explain it please?

Crowd Funding

It could be the opposite of that assessment.

The observations of someone who has seen a lot of people suckered in by fast talk and a promise of a fast monetary return on hair brained schemes that are sugar coated to make them easier to swallow.

A lot of times these schemes attract the unaware and gullible.

Don't misunderstand what I have said, everyone should make their own decisions on everything but it should be an aware and informed decision.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Excellent example of the power of crowd funding, Eloi. I just received my first message from them:

Yesterday was our first day, and it was incredible. Here's a few stats to show you how well it's going. In just 24 hours we have:
Had over 10,000 people sign up as founding members
That's 9,000 more since we filmed the video yesterday!
More than $430,000 already chipped in
38,000 likes on our Facebook page
Trended on Twitter nation-wide many times

So you can see the potential of crowd funding. My return on investment will be accessing politically neutral reports on current research into climate....the first one is due to be released this weekend ๐Ÿ™‚

I read that a long time ago, and I have found that it is pretty much correct.  Honest people always expect others to be honest too.  ๐Ÿ™‚

There is another well known wise saying;-

"Fools rush in where angels fear to tread"

From My observation there is certainly  a lot of rushing around here ๐Ÿ™‚

That's a good saying, but not everyone is fearful of learning and new concepts. Some people like learning and are curious about new concepts. Some people even like standing up for issues that impact our future.

All very noble sentiments but a tad misplaced.

Definitive proof of correlation would be a good start instead propaganda and cherry picked opinion ๐Ÿ™‚

Nobody said you have to crowd fund anyone's project.  Nor did anyone say the rest of the world has to be as sour, untrusting and scornful as you, thankfully.

People can choose to be generous of their own free will. That doesn't mean they're stupid or gullible.

No. It's based on fear.
