Would you consider that option with your ideas?
I personally love this idea:

Butter is natural and doesn't need artificial colouring. Marge is full of trans fats and who knows what oils. It's quite yukky actually.
Having said that, I use Butter Soft from New Zealand. The ingredients are cream (from milk), water, salt and milk fat. (Yes, I checked). I keep it in the fridge and it's always easy to spread so I would say no to the butter knife. If you really want something like that then just scrape a bit off with a serrated knife and wait for a few seconds.
The best for spreading (if one eats butter). Triple churned, 100% pure and natural.

A vegetable peeler slices nice, thin strips of butter to put on your bread.
Softens quickly and is easy to spread.
I hate margarine. Reminds me of wartime starvation times.
Butter in moderation makes food taste real.

funny you should say that.
since the mid 90s - australian manufacturers
do not use the old hydrogenation process
to make margarines - which means they are not
full of trans (with the exception of cooking/hard
margarines). the softer, spread type are not full
of trans fats.
Marge is full of trans fats and who knows what oils.
very outdated, misleading information.

Face it Julia. Butter is better, it's natural and it's healthy.
With margarine do you really know what oils are in there. I will check the ingredients for the olive oil one but I remember that it contained other oils too when I looked at it.
I'll let you know, right or wrong.

I would like to see the ingredients list for the lowest price tub of margarine. Are they Aust made or imported? Include Palm oil?
Will have a look next time I am in supermarket.

Heart Foundation recommends margarine over butter because, on average, butter contains 50 per cent saturated fat and four per cent trans fats, while margarine contains 14 per cent saturated fat and 0.25 per cent trans fat.
If consumed to excess, butter can increase levels of "bad" cholesterol and increase the risk of cardiovascular disease.
Margarine contains higher levels of healthy polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats.
Personally I don't like the taste of butter, so good margarine suits me, spread lightly, hate big blobs of butter or marg.

This is what is listed on the bottom of my olive oil spread tub. I expect someone will come along to translate it for me 😀
