Cryptic Stuff

While it was done some years ago I see, I thought I would try a cryptic crossword-like thread for fun and to try and boost a little more interest here. I made up the below question for anyone interested in such a challenge. I thought the first person to get it correct might come up with the next question. A clue though - if you copy one from a newspaper or magazine etc., the answer can often be found on the internet. I can explain the answer for anyone who asks. ๐Ÿ™‚

The prisoner at the cave would not stand for the electrically charged droplets of water.

Re: Cryptic Stuff

Yes, you have it, nfs.

Itโ€™s relatively clear that plastic changes spot for shaken toddy (11)

clear that plastic [charade -> Perspex]
changes โ€ฆ for [substitution indicator]
spot [charade -> x]

shaken [anagrind] toddy [charade -> civet]
  -> ctive

    perspe(-x)(+ctive)

= perspective

WHOLE DEFINITION

Itโ€™s relatively = perspective

I was shocked when I realised Iโ€™d left out the actual definition at first, so I tried to be subtle about the edit. Originally I had planned it as โ€œRelatively speakingโ€. That probably threw you off; sorry!

nfs, over to you.
