How come nobody has asked about DDU's injury?X-(
Noooo .. that's just the image that sticks in my head.
That chicken is badly injured .. another is dead .. another couple are slightly injured ....
I hadn't lost a chook this year until yesterday .. X-(
of course, the clincher for the dogs future was the damage it did to my arm as I rugby tackled it to get the chicken back (along with a couple of the neighbours) .... I'm not convinced the chicken will survive.
Gee your game, A bucket of water thrown at the dog would have done the trick. Hows the injury..much damage?

There was no opportunity. I was running down the road after the dog, leaving my house / water behind me.
The arm is getting better, and the badly injured chook was eating this morning (yay) .. the others are still spooked and you can't get near them, but they seem OK.

bleeding heck, I'm sorry DDU. Poor chickens ๐
When my dog was a pup we took him next door and chucked him in to the middle of a gaggle of geese. The ensuing hissing and flapping was enough to send him scarpering for cover.
He has never show the slightest interest in chasing poulty since then.
He will chase black and white birds though because they (butcher birds, magpies) nick his dog bikkies.
I hope the dog in question never gets the opportunity to harm chooks again

Hmmm .. .got to help anaesthatise a cat today .. never done that before.
Poor darn cat has almost cut it's leg off on something ... it's off with the vets now, having been stitched back together ...

your cat?
๐ฎ
bugger of a week you're having DDU.
I hope puss gets better quick. I wonder if a dog got hold of it too?
The dog that killed the kittens as work last week sort of tore one kittens shoulder. So it didn't look like a bbite, just like it was ripped by a piece of tin or wire or something.
