Determining what is and isn't a lifestyle choice

Is living in a drought stricken area a lifestyle choice?

Please feel free to ask about other choices that you think may be a lifestyle choice.

A lifestyle choice.. living in the millionairs enclave of bondi and and being a far left leaning socialist...now that would be a lifestyle choice......

Being born. Oh actually it isn't but once your here you are just a slave to capitalist greed and the whim if those that think they should rule

Sounds a bit like a poor helpless  me outlook.   Many many choose to better themselves and succeed .    Just look at some of the stories of self-made millionaires.  Got  there through sheer blood, sweat and tears.  .

Most got there by being in the right place at the right time with the right idea.  Very few got there through blood, sweat and tears.

You really need to expand your reading.

Try this for starters ...

Almost two-thirds of the world's billionaires made their fortunes from scratch, relying on grit and determination, and not on good genes. Meet 10 of them.

Love it bright.ton. So I'm not allowed to despise this capitalist den of inequity we live in. What I'm meant to become what I despise what a strange logic you have. I hate money, I hate the rich. I want to live in a grass hut and fish all day but no according to you I must be a part of the unthinking masses and strive for that I hate. I'm not suffering from a poor me complex I'm waiting and hoping that I live long enough to enjoy the demise of personal wealth

So according to you not so bright.ton only the rich are better. Better than what pray tell. I have worked fir rich people that make you work for less than award rates without ever paying overtime or super. That makes them disrespectful scumbags in my eye but top blokes according to you. Glad you don't run the world

There is only so much money in the world, one pie so to speak. If we all go for a huge slice eventually mist people have nothing. Hang on that's what we already have. So where are all the resources to make every one rich. Hang on there aren't enough to do that. Maybe we need a world where people are happy to be healthy and fed. Not one where those adorned with shiny bobbles and trinkets feel that they have the right to look down on the rest and enslave them for their own greed

Re: Determining what is and isn't a lifestyle choice

Funny thing is you might actually be more of a slave to capitalism than me. My mortgage is $30 a week, my house is very small and in a low income small town. My Ute is old. I don't own a cd player, never have never will. I don't own a computer, just rely on my smart phone. I never go out, I'm not interested. I spend tome with family and friends. Unfortunately I have not bettered myself in the only manner you comprehend. I learn things, I laugh a lot, especially at the frivolous way in which most chose to live their lives and I have sex usually three times a day with multiple partners. I am wealthy in the things I value not money. You can keep the money and shove it up your ass for all I care
