Diary of our stinking Govt.

As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed.  The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.Woman Happy

This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.

and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says

The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.

Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.

"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

That was because he was an egotistical maniac devoid from reality.

So yes, he did believe he could deliver.

Yes he did, I agree. I put a large part of Labor's downfall on his shoulders.

'No amount of spin' will change dislike of university fee increases, Labor says

Senator Kim Carr criticises Coalition for reportedly spending $500,000 on market research to win support for its deregulation of fees and other changes

No amount of spin will get Australians to accept $100,000 university degrees, Labor says.

Laborโ€™s education spokesman, Kim Carr, panned the federal governmentโ€™s reported $500,000 splurge on market research to help win support for its policies to overhaul universities.

โ€œNo amount of money, no amount of spin, will change the fact that Australians will never accept the idea that your education depends upon how much you can pay,โ€ Senator Carr said in Melbourne.

โ€œNo amount of government-funded advertising, publicly-funded advertising will change the Australian peopleโ€™s attitude.โ€

Carr said the unfair higher education measures were never promised by the government.

โ€œIn fact, they said exactly the opposite before the election,โ€ he said.

Fairfax Media reported on Saturday the federal governmentโ€™s $500,000 market research splurge will go on focus groups to help spruik its plan to uncap university fees. The plan is yet to pass parliament.

Me too.. :womanlol:

I wonder if one day, when Tony A an ex PM (sooner, rather than later)  if it will come out, what actually went on there?  Someone telling him what to say through his earpiece? What does that say about him?

When I look back at that "statement" it seems incredible that it was said.  Something you might hear in a primary school yard.

Imagine Keating, Howard, or any other PM speaking in such infantile terms.  The gap between them and him in terms of oratory, speech-making, and general conversation is immeasurable.

The long gone menbers of my family who always voted conservatively would be ashamed of this man, I'm sure, simply because of his inarticulateness.

(Full Definition of INARTICULATE. 1 a of a sound : uttered or formed without the definite articulations of intelligible speech)

reminds me of something funny when referring to TA.....:

If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck and talks like a duck it's probably a wombat !

....and we all know what wombats do

.....this duck will be cookin' it's goose soon iykwim.....

it's like the LNP are now deliberately keeping and using TA at the helm, to build as much angst as possible......leaving a replacement for next year, closer to another election......expecting the voters to support a further LNP party leader.

How dumb do they think we are??!! LOL
