As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

Sitting at the computer all day making comments on social media doesn't pay much, unfortunately.
Some people do get paid, but in a round about sort of a way, because they post all day from work.
they don't get paid for their all night postings on the Internet though
no well that would be overtime wouldn't it! lol.

Prime Minister Tony Abbott has decided to follow the lead of other Western leaders and rebrand the self-proclaimed Islamic State with an acronym they despise.
After talks with the Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, Mr Abbott started using the name Daesh, which is an acronym for the Arabic spelling of the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant.
The Forum on Australia's Islamic Relations welcomes the Prime Minister's adoption of the acronym.
Tony Abbott's decision to use the acronym comes a few months after the French Foreign Minister Lauren Fabius called on the media to use Daesh because he said the name Islamic State blurs the lines between Islam, Muslims and Islamists.
The United States government started using the term late last year.
The Islamic State reportedly hates the use of the acronym, not least because of those negative connotations and has promised to remove the tongues of anyone who dares to speak it.

Job advertisements rose for a seventh straight month in December, but are not translating into lower unemployment as job losses also remain high.
.....................................................................................................................................................................................
Same happening in USA.....and globally in many countries.
In fact, if Australia continues on it's present path/agenda we will see (what this LNP mob are aiming at) more and more fulltime and p/time job losses....increase in pathetic 2-6 hr jobs at far less hourly wage amounts.
In USA 31% of recent (from OCT 2014 figures) 'jobs' resulted in BELOW POVERTY LINE wages

Skilled migration proposal a declaration of war on Australian workers
Proposals by the Abbott Government to abolish any kind of language or skills criteria for temporary overseas workers would further drive up unemployment at a critical time in the economic cycle, hitting young jobseekers particularly hard.
The Department of Immigration and Border Protection has released a paper proposing a new visa for foreign workers that would do away with the requirement for candidates to pass language or skills tests. And employers would not have to make any effort to look for local workers whatsoever.
"This proposal is yet another blow that the Abbott Government has dealt to Australian workers – and particularly our young people," Michael O'Connor, National Secretary of the CFMEU, said today.

Tony Abbott has not been seen for a while.
He is definitely not to be found at either The Raffles Hotel in Perth WA or at The Applecross Hotel LOL
Both establishments have recently adopted no "lycra cycle wear" dress code policies.

There is a strong rumour that Warren Truss is going to resign later this year.
Guess who will be deputy PM then?
Somebody whom we all love and adore.
Which of you will bless us with the answer first?

I see we have all calmed down this morning
Since the deputy tends to be on the useless side, I'd say Bill Shorten will get it
Deputy in the LNP is still a higher position than Leader of the ALP
