Diary of our stinking Govt.

As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed.  The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.Woman Happy

This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.

and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says

The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.

Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.

"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

An article by the Sniper is a good one to read on the IPA, it shows their plan for australia. I think the IPA was founded by rupert murdoch's father.

Funded by big business and miners such as Gina

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

How come the ABC24 11.00am report spent the majority of the time interviewing the Greste family ?

I see Bishop thanked the other countries involved in putting pressure onthe Turkish Gov't.

I reckon we might have used upa few US favours on this one.

Back to one whole news program being spent on Greste, what about all the other issues and things going on.

Like the Qld Election

Abbott under fire

Abbott's speech to the Press Club ?

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

What are your thoughts on the IPA vic?
It's pretty obvious why murdoch is such a huge supporter of the lib party no matter what isn't it?

to Deb ref: https://thesnipertakesaim.wordpress.com/2013/03/02/ipa-agenda-to-re-shape-australia/

Particularly take offence to:

53 Repeal the Fair Work Act

76 Have State Premiers appoint High Court justices

82 Abolish the Australian Human Rights Commission

83 Have trade unions regulated like public companies, with ASIC responsible for their oversight

86 Extend unrestricted work visas currently granted to New Zealand citizens to citizens of the United States

93 Abolish the luxury car tax     I was going to buy a Rolls Royce next week

94 Halve the number of days parliament sits to reduce the amount of legislation passed

97 Abandon plans to restrict foreign investment in Australia’s agricultural industry

100 Abolish the four pillars policy which prevents Australia’s major banks from merging

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

I've known who they are for a long time.

Identical to left leaning think tanks, Union leadership, Green groups etc etc,

all where ideas and policy come out of.

So I can't see much difference except big business maybe more likely to fund the IPA.

"82 Abolish the Australian Human Rights Commission

I agree with those two. The Unions only because of the funds they control, they should be overseen by someone

like ASIC or the Superannuation body.

Disagree with this

97 Abandon plans to restrict foreign investment in Australia’s agricultural industry
