As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

I have been really busy over the past few weeks, so I might have missed it, but as far as I know the palace did not respond as yet to the news of the gong. May not accept it?

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-02-03/hockey-says-big-business-will-not-pay-any-more-tax/6065608
Federal Treasurer Joe Hockey says big businesses will not be paying "any more" tax than they are now as a result of the federal budget.
The Government had planned to charge big business a 1.5 per cent levy to help pay for its Paid Parental Leave (PPL) scheme.
But Prime Minister Tony Abbott dumped the PPL package yesterday in favour of a broader "families" package that is expected to focus on childcare costs.
Chamber of Commerce and Industry chief executive Kate Carnell said big business wanted to know whether the levy would be scrapped too.
"With ditching the PPL scheme, he has got to have ditched the 1.5 per cent levy on 3,000 Australian businesses that was to go to funding the PPL," Ms Carnell told 7.30 last night.

P007: "and the GG has not done anything illegal whereas I believe TA apparently has Dual Citizenship....not allowed *tsk-tsk"
You also believe aircraft condensation trails are evil secret chemical sprays (in broad daylight) which is as nonsensical as Dual Citizenship for Abbott..
Try some logic (?) Both sides have muckrakers, researchers, spies etc with, I am sure, excellent investigative/research capabilities. It would thus follow that this silly assertion of "Dual Citizenship" would have been checked and dismissed as more political conspiracy nutters nonsense.

These are generally public documents available to all. However, in Abbott's case, the NAA decided to make the application file a secret document in February 2014."
