As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

Does Abbott think being seen in an idyllic country scene with children playing in the background is going to save him!
Strong on rhetoric but light on detail: Prime Minister Tony Abbott emphasised his desire to be "tough" on his YouTube channel. Photo: Michele Mossop

"You posted, more than once, about how because you are so wise and so well prepared you avoid paying any tax."
So G58 produce the post (s) because just writing it does not validate the comment.
I suggest you also research the difference between a taxed return from private taxed income invested in Australian companies, and Australian social welfare payments from taxpayers of which I am still one.
However, I do pay tax only once a year now instead of 4 times a year.
When I started working for the Australian government some 40 Years ago I contributed as much as I could afford then of my taxed income into superannuation, and Australian share purchases. The government still pay me, still tax me, and my SMSF is quite yummy.
PS
The sweet odour of the CBA:

It would appear that since this odoriferous comment earlier:
"Yes, she's had that twinkle in her eye all week. At first I thought it was because she was enjoying the attention/cat and mouse game with the press, not so sure now, perhaps there is more to it. Apparently she and Turnbull are very close friends."
Malcolm T has , even with an orange tie, been "dumped"
But for a red tie??????.

I have seen a few photos of Julie B and Bill S... having a friendly chat together.
Julie & Bill have nothing to do with the previoius posts about Julie's B twinkling eyes.. that was to do with enticing prospect of ditching the incompetent PM and replacing him with Mal.. not personal chats with Leader of the Opposition!!
Congrats mm, you made a post without mentioning the PAST Labor Govt or its PM's.
