Diary of our stinking Govt.

As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed.  The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.Woman Happy

This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.

and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says

The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.

Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.

"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

And another whole one 🙂

Returning the budget to surplus
Treasurer Joe Hockey was explicit
in Opposition:
“Based on the numbers presented last Tuesday night we will achieve a surplus in our first year in office and we will achieve a surplus for every year of our first term.”

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

• Promised to consult on climate change and instead delivered a carbon tax.
• Guaranteed a budget surplus and instead delivered more deficits.
• Promised jobs, and national unemployment is now 60,000 higher than when the promise was made.
• Promised to cut company tax, but, after the election, scrapped the tax cut.
• Promised to give $2.1 billion for a transport link in Western Sydney (the Epping to Parramatta rail link) and now won’t provide the money for transport in Sydney.

C&Ps sans comments are so easy on the brain.

However,  I will point out yet again that both "gangs'  are similar when they hand-feed their bleaters:  Myopic Tongues2 Small.jpgprior to an election

As for history (sorry),  Santayana once said  "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."  Here it would appear that should  read:  Those who avoid the past are condemned to repeat it.

That is a good explanation for the "wrongs" of  the current malodorous government:  none of the MYOPS want to remember the days of the Circus with Poor Me and Rudd, (forbidden history) so these "wrongs are actually just a repeat from the Circus days.

  • The claim: Julia Gillard says her decision not to argue against a fixed carbon price being labelled a "carbon tax" hurt her terribly politically.
  • The verdict: Ms Gillard had strong grounds to argue the carbon price was not legally a tax, but she would have faced credible counter-arguments to the contrary.
