As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

"Posting a random business logo (copyright to the designer of logo or maybe transfered to the business) from a Filipino bakery, and no satire included in post about Filipino's or bakeries or cakes... just doesn't make sense. Not at all relevant to a political thread on an Australian forum either.
Nonsense, in the absence of registered protection, and on Facebook where you have to agree to foregoe protection.
However, the main legal test is if a reasonable person would consider that I have gained materially by posting (legally) the image, or if the cake shop had "lost" in any form as a result of the image being displayed here.
Might even be considered free advertising.
Now the real problem is still finding a "reasonable person".

Speaking as one of the audience (readers of your posts) your explanation for using a random Filipino business image in your post, doesn't cut it. Why wasn't your so called attempt at satire/parody related to either Filipino's or bakeries?
Clutching at straws now - LOL - free advertising - likelihood of anyone here flying to The Philippines to buy a cake there?
Connection between a bakery logo from a business in the Philippines and a thread on politics in Australia = 0

Whilst I also read and subscribe to Kohler's work, I know that he has been wrong. A tag team member posted an article of his without research a while back, those pesky unresearched C&Ps. Even tried the "I only copied it without thought" defence. I could not argue with that

Abbott must stop sacking Labor appointees
HERE is one barnacle that the Abbott government needs to get rid of immediately: the rule that any director on a government board who was appointed by the previous Labor government will not be reappointed.
He was wrong (and also the C&P MYOPS)

Was there a correction posted in The Austrailan to say Kohler posted incorrect information? Until there is I won't believe he was wrong.

I thought so. We (Dad) never replaced the B&W TV till long after the colour ones were introduced, so my guess wouldn't be accurate.
