As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

just use the original title and if you know, the sub topic."
Really google, just use the title of an ACT that could be many pages long, and you don't know the sub topic. Posters are supposed to 'care' enough to go trolling through pages of ACT's everytime someone refers to an "ACT"? just to see if it is relevant to the issue?
The ACT you referred to had an Amendment in 2006, which was relevant to Satire & Parody, why didn't you mention that as well?

If I wrote "............all the boring pink myopics and matriarch's ............." G58 would castigate me" But who am I to argue, so I agree with you A3
Current PM is a blue tie wearing male. I know that, but who is the bloke on the left?
Another example of twaddle.

Actually G58 it appears that the ""am*3 wrote" is actually a C&P sans any comment, and the article was written by Daniel Hurst. Back to normal?
If I need you to analyse other posters contributions for me I will ask.
I am able to click the link myself to read further as time allows. It's one of the things I like about the thread - news links that can be read later.

the reference.

Tony Abbott has delivered a snub to Communications Minister Malcolm Turnbull, sidelining him in a series of high-level private meetings with commercial television network bosses.
Mr Abbott will meet separately with the bosses of regional broadcasters, including WIN Corp’s Andrew Lancaster, Prime Media Group’s Ian Audsley and Southern Cross’s Rhys Holleran.

How odd. Malcolm Turnbull is currently overseas.

Be that as it may, the post reads:
"am*3 wrote:
Australia's treasurer Joe Hockey will have to go to a G20 follow-up meeting in Washington this week with unmet policy commitments..................."
This is a return to C&P sans original comments with no indication that is another persons work
However, I could easily tell it was copied because of its "presentation", but no quotation marks?
Perhaps de facto Plagiarism? which "is the act of representing as one's own original work the creative works of another, without appropriate acknowledgment of the author or source."

If only the same comments were directed at the other posters who routinely post without acknowledging the author or publication.

that article is now paywalled for me Am. but another question is why would abbott be considering dropping the TV licensing fee by 50% at a time when govt revenue is supposed to be down
