Diary of our stinking Govt.

As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed.  The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.Woman Happy

This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.

and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says

The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.

Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.

"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

Tony Abbott has delivered a snub to Communications Minister Malcolm Turnbull, sidelining him in a series of high-level private meetings with commercial television network bosses.

Mr Abbott will meet separately with the bosses of regional broadcasters, including WIN Corp’s Andrew Lancaster, Prime Media Group’s Ian Audsley and Southern Cross’s Rhys Holleran.

A3: "How odd. Malcolm Turnbull is currently overseas."

How very odd

"Mr Turnbull, who is overseas, was not invited to a series of meetings with the heads of the Seven, Nine and Ten networks, The Australian understands.

While a high-placed observer said Mr Turnbull had already held meetings with the networks individually and through industry body Free TV, he said the minister’s exclusion from meetings to discuss big portfolio matters was “unusual”."

Did not work for the Circus though!

As you insist on calling the previous Gillard government "the circus" what do you call this mob who are clearly less competent, less mature, less able to negotiate, have told more lies and have treated the community with contempt?

And you claim that sexism is not a factor.  Yep, pull the other one.

It’s not unprecedented, but one would generally expect Turnbull to be present, and he probably should be,” the observer said."

I see why this C&P is so popular, it  requires so little effort, especially without any comments.

Bother, I added some comments, so no  kudosR up.jpg     for me.

Oh dear G58,  did you not realise The Circus was a stereo act ?.  Overlooking Rudd could be perceived as being sexist !

Yeah, so fake indignation when objecting to some posts without links and turns a blind eye to more serious, ongoing examples...
