Diary of our stinking Govt.

As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed.  The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.Woman Happy

This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.

and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says

The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.

Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.

"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

Find me a current ongoing thread that I have contributed to, please,  as I think  a reference is a good idea with a post, and a C&P sans comments indicative of no original thought whatsoever.

Why do you only post on this thread when there are plenty of others to post on?

Treasurer Joe Hockey has warned the deficit could blow out again as he prepares to write-off up to $25 billion more in revenue over the next four years by factoring in an iron ore price as low as $35-a-tonne in the May 12 budget.

The price, $US25 lower than what was said to be a conservative forecast of $US60 contained in December's budget update, will mean there is about $6.25 billion less revenue a year than the government thought it had just five months ago

"trerasurer" Hockey was way out in his iron ore price prediction in December

So the iron ore price is an acceptable excuse while hokey is treasurer, in contrast it was absolutely unacceptable previously.  Then it was Labor are risking the 3 AAA ratings that were acheived during the previous govts term.  Perhaps that's just another Labor thing to erase.

"Oh I see. I decided to read your post. You're saying that it's your right to query a source, but I shouldn't
OK.. That fits, how very democratic of you

I guess that you might live in a parallel universe D9275

I posted this:

"New rule: "You'd better not complain about anyone else's sources again"    If you spend a microsecond considering that,  you might realise that you have now complained about the source, your right  (possibly even old "Acts") and I will continue to question others sources as I see fit."

What do you think this part means: "......you have now complained about the source, your right  .........."  Hint, the part : your right.

Reminds me of law and the ubiquitous "reasonable person" !!!!!..

Because it is a chuckle.

Only post on this thread? I guess you are either averse to research,  new to the Board,  are not interested in science, aviation, meteorology, or the real world?

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

G58: "So the iron ore price is an acceptable excuse while hokey is treasurer,"

Well what was good for the SWAN is good for the gander!!!

"With an iron ore price like this, it is going to lower nominal growth," said former treasurer Wayne Swan, whose time in charge of the national purse was also bedevilled by iron ore price volatility.

"You'd have to say [the Abbott Government] would be starting to think that they've got a bigger challenge on their hands than they would have thought at budget time," said Mr Swan.

http://www.smh.com.au/business/price-drop-signals-the-end-of-the-iron-ore-age-20140912-10fxr7.html

"trerasurer" Hockey was way out in his iron ore price prediction in December

It obviously rubbed off from "I promise you a surplus, surplus, surplus garden" Swan:

Prices for the commodity, which is subject to the tax, are now below $130 a tonne.

Mr Swan said the price would have a bearing on the money generated through the MRRT.

"It's always been the case that price is one of the factors which impacts on revenue through the MRRT as well as volumes and sales," he told reporters in Cairns on Thursday.

"But you can't sit around and do your calculations on revenue based on what might happen at any one given week.

"We adjusted our estimates for the MRRT in the budget this year and we'll adjust them in the normal year in the mid-year budget update."

https://pickeringpost.com/story/falling-ore-price-could-hit-mrrt-swan/126

Swan could not manage @ $125/tonne

I think you must live in a parallel universe, a picture is as open to discussion as much as anything else that is posted. You didn't even check where your picture came from. National Civic council.?? 😀

Yes, "treasurer" Joe hockey was incorrect in the prediction he gave in December on the iron ore price

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

Mm12 - I said the threads (without attribution), mostly Pickering Posts re Gillard where the OP just posts a whole blog article as if it is their own words) ) were a year or so ago ( obviously they would be posted , being anti labor PM's topic's leading up until the 2013 election.

I also said you never commented on the lack of attribution - so why would you expect the thread I posted as an example to have your posts in it.

However, I did see another one of that posters threads which you posted on, so don't claim you never read them.

"Because I never read the thread until now , and never would have being from NB, who like his namesake Bolt is a nut."

There have been threads about the BOM (meteorology), with totally outrageous accusations, which you ignore in your quest to harangue the same few posters over and over with the same boring stale detractions..

Are you 12?  That's about the mental age of a person whose actions are motivated by the sole aim of haranguing others for your own chuckles.

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

Multiple threads in the past - anti -Gillard blog posts, posted in full without attribution, as opening posts..went by unnoticed. Most of the other threads anti-Labor were articles with links from The Daily Telegraph and Hersld Sun and would be a nitpicker's paradise for all the inaccuracies, sensationalised bits in them.  Silence.

A few lines quoted without a link ( done on purpose today to wait for 'the reaction') in a 10 000+ post anti-Abbot Govt thread and the spurious accusations of plagarism come out.

Hmmmm...
