As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

that's because I read a number of articles this morning and some are now paywalled to me- so it makes complete sense that I can't remember which one
instead of commenting about me... chuckle
do you have any comment on abbotts leaks to the Daily telegraph about what he's passing before his cabinet even sees or discusses it??

"hope you've been reading the papers and keeping up with what's going on in our world" Chuckle.
In the real world:
On 28 May 2015, Robert McClelland was appointed to the Family Court of Australia by Attorney-General George Brandis QC. He will be based in the Court's Sydney registry and his appointment will commence on 16 June 2015.
Perhaps those who gleefully posted a C&P/link of Kohlers incorrect rant a while ago :
Excerpt:
"There is one barnacle that the Abbott Government needs to get rid of immediately: the rule that any director on a government board who was appointed by the previous Labor government will not be re-appointed."
Might take note??
Oh gosh, the malodorous Abbott Government's Attorney General appointing a past ALP Circus Attorney General to the Family Court of Australia. Is that a MYOP or
Tis a puzzlement.

as usual... absolutely nothing to do with what was being discussed
how does Rob Mclelland's appointment relate to abbotts leaks to the Daily Telegraph.??
is it the same sort of thing as Barnaby Joyces bullying of Hope Rhinehart was the Labor govts fault because he did it in 2011 ?
oh btw you said Kohler didn't write the article himself, so how could it be "kohler's rant'??

"as usual... absolutely nothing to do with what was being discussed"
Gosh, you mean like this recent comment: ""hope you've been reading the papers and keeping up with what's going on in our world" ?
I would suggest that 2 day old news would qualify with what's going on in the world, especially considering the political intrigue involved!
On 28 May 2015, Robert McClelland was appointed to the Family Court of Australia by Attorney-General George Brandis QC. He will be based in the Court's Sydney registry and his appointment will commence on 16 June 2015.
The reason why Kohler's rant was mentioned : ("Abbott must stop sacking Labor appointees Alan Kohler 6 Mar,2015") was to highlight the love of C&P's (unchecked), the fact that they can be wrong as was Kohler's case (even Tingle's), and that we are expected to now accept:
" In one of the articles, I can't remember which one ,"
I think the polite response to the above is best summed up by a quotation from Descartes:
'It is only prudent never to place complete confidence in that by which we have even once been deceived.'

"If you want to go back in time , you posted " shorten will be gone in a week" by Rowan Dean ( in March. I think that was, boy was that article ever wrong)"
Really? without confirmation I refute that, or simply say it is rubbish.
A3 attempted to back up your dubious claim with a fabricated post, which is not unknown, so produce your version containing my alleged post: "shorten will be gone in a week" by Rowan Dean"
