As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

"geez!! how many of these things have we purchased??"
Deja vu, we went through this a year ago. It was worth a chuckle when our chemtrail aviation "expert" contributed !
The first F-35A aircraft will arrive in Australia in 2018 and the first squadron, Number 3 Squadron, will be operational in 2021. All 72 aircraft are expected to be fully operational by 2023.

"There was immediate bipartisan support for the purchase within the political establishment. Opposition leader Bill Shorten not only backed the decision, but claimed credit for it"

I already knew the answer to the question I asked lol

Prime Minister Tony Abbott's office knew Foreign Minister Julie Bishop had misled Parliament about Sydney siege gunman Man Haron Monis three days before the government eventually owned up to the mistake.
The delay in correcting the parliamentary record until the end of a sitting fortnight meant the government faced no scrutiny in question time over its handling of the case

Gosh parliamentary procedures again, and not a Bill in motion anywhere. This might be of interest House of Representatives Practice (5th Edition) Chapter 19.
Actually just about anything goes when the "gangs" are slugging it out, and the flocks are regurgitating. Both sides do it .
The public generally do not hold politicians in high esteem, however they might be perturbed when they are misled
Bill Shorten has admitted misleading voters over his part in the move to dump Julia Gillard as prime minister two years ago, sparking taunts in parliament over whether he can be trusted.
I love this answer apropos the same topic from the SMH (click on SMH)

Asked if he could guarantee he would not mislead the public again, Mr Shorten answered: "I guarantee that when I'm asked about internal party matters, I won't give the sort of answer I gave."
"I won't give the sort of answer I gave." Love it.

you love that the abbott govt is dishonest in Paliament??
ok. therin lies the difference between abbott supporters and non abbott supporters I guess
while you are there, can you interpret this for me??
Abbott: 'One day the coal will have been dug up, the gas will have been extracted, but we will always need food and our land forever.'
what does that mean??

It means that he is secretly related to Dubya. Or that punches to the head can be just as damaging as alcohol and cocaine to the brain.

"not many really is it when you consider the millions of viewers who watch QandA?" millions?
I see research is still not in vogue, try some Monday June 29th TV rating figures HERE
or even the 22nd of June HERE to find "that program". I could not locate it in the top 20, so you have a go, as just a million would put it around 9th !
