As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

"I think it's pretty much been said... Interesting though isn't it that it the NSW LNP extended that mining license in 2012 "
Like the "crisis" I say what?, because no mining license was issued, only permission to explore. Accuracy is important !

The Exploration Licence was renewed in January 2012, guaranteeing the company another 5 years to explore for coal at the Watermark site
Exploration drilling for stage 4 was completed on site in July 2012. No exploration drilling is planned for 2013.
the "exploration"licence was renewed in 2012 by the NSW Lib Govt.
and Tony Windor's "misinformation"was what exactly??

Hysterical rubbish being printed in the media.
All mining in this country only takes up to 1% of the total land mass. If this wasn't a mineral rich country we would all be sitting in the dirt, in the dark, poorer than the poorest countries on earth.
Mining in Australia lets you live a first world life, propagands leftist hysteria regurgitated on here is unhelpful and does not portray the real world, real truth or the real workings of our economy.

It will be up to NSW Premier Mike Baird to give the final nod.

Correct, and the hysterical outrage from the left is just that, means nothing. Just regurgitating the faux outrage we are served up every day from Labor and Shorten is the worst, every day he has another "quip" used to be called a 3 line slogan.

the minerals council claims the land mass is under 2% and Lock the gate claims 54% so, it will be somewhere between the two, i suspect both are extreme views

Since you seem to have all the figures at your fingertips, perhaps you can tell us what perscentage of the totl land mass is prime agriculturl land.
