As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

"Embattled Speaker Bronwyn Bishop is being accused of using taxpayers money to attend former Liberal MP Sophie Mirabella's wedding, calling the trip official business.
. . . .
Soon after the coalition was elected in 2013, numerous ministers, including Tony Abbott, were forced to pay back taxpayer money they claimed to travel to weddings - including that of Ms Mirabella.
Senator George Brandis, Scott Morrison, Barnaby Joyce and Mr Abbott paid back the money, but Ms Bishop failed to follow followed suit, Fairfax newspapers reported on Friday.
The reports say an expense document written by Ms Bishop lists only "committee chair business" when asked the purpose of the $600 flights, which took her to three cities, including Albury, from where she travelled to the Wangaratta wedding.
A spokesman for Ms Bishop confirmed she was on official business when in Albury, but refused to answer questions about what that business was or whether she had any official engagements during the trip, Fairfax says."

I've just looked at them all and none are from 1979.
Which one do you say is?
I think it would be folly to expect that women will ever dominate or even approach equal representation in a large number of areas simply because their aptitudes, abilities and interests are different for physiological reasons.
if your source told you it was fairly
recent - again, change your source.

worth reposting in light of the recent
assertions.
Again I mention that making a definitive statement that is demonstrably wrong (again), only serves to underwrite the lack of credibility of the whole and also subsequent posts.
