Diary of our stinking Govt.

As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed.  The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.Woman Happy

This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.

and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says

The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.

Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.

"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

The subject under discussion is personal photographers hired by Prime Minister (paid for by the taxpayer).

Current Govt no surplus as promised, wasting money on personal photographers for PM.

The British Prime Minister, David Cameron, was roundly criticised for having a personal photographer and filmmaker when he was elected in 2010. Mr Cameron solved the problem by moving the staff off the public payroll and on to that of the Conservative Party.

Any excuse will do for a good old bit of Gillard Bashing.

Yeah, got to recycle those old saved photos from years ago somehow. Abbott doesn't need a personal photographer on the public payroll. The photographer will still have a problem presenting him in a good light anyway!

When will any poster here admit that neither Labor nor Liberals have a sensible and worthwhile leadership?

Both Shorten and Abbott are as good as each other. Selfserving, arrogant and ignorant of how to run a good Governement. Their advisors are as useless as the party leaders. None of them has a clue how to restore our ecconomy other than selling more and more of our land to foreign companies.

Ask any of them a valid question and they will talk 12 to the dozen about nothing and pretend to know what they are talking about.

Most of them are professional Lawyers. Lawyers are actors and liars and study for years how to twist the truth before they get their Diploma. And I won't even mention minor parties or independants.

I would like to see just one person who is genuinly concerned about Australias future.

Stop arguing and unite into finding this person.

This thread to me is about the current Govt... so my comments here relate to the decisions, policies & goings on of the current  Govt.

The policies this current Govt introduces or attempts to introduce affects Australian's at the present time.

This is a discussion board, not arguing or fighting. Hardly any of the posts in this thread get moderated because they don't contravene any posting rules.

This is one long running  thread about politics (instead of starting a new thread on a new topic everyday), no one is forced to read it.

That is simply not true. It is a gross generalisation.

Apart from that they get a degree not a diploma, do a course after graduating (PPL) and have an admission ceremony in the Supreme Court.

L9650: "When will any poster here admit that neither Labor nor Liberals have a sensible and worthwhile leadership"

A question L9650 that will remain .   Here,  this type of political dialogue predominates: Myopic Tongues2 Small.jpg

I occasionally indicate that the major parties/parliamentarians are not dissimilar,  but as my image above shows the participants being somewhat myopic, this is never appreciated.

I do believe that a thread like this provides a useful (necessary) form of catharsis for some, but I do wonder at the preference for others work (C&P) when it is acceptable, often without original input (thought) whatsoever, or research.

Real world:  My parliament is the ASX, and party is the AJO. I have voted for Rudd, Gillard, and not Abbott,  and once was a member of  now sadly demised: The Australian Democrats.

As I said above, no one is forced to read this thread. Seems a bit petty to make the same complaints continually when all one has to do is not read any threads that don't appeal.
