Diary of our stinking Govt.

As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed.  The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.Woman Happy

This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.

and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says

The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.

Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.

"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

the real "leaners"

How almost 300,000 SMSFs avoid paying income tax

Only a fraction of Australia's half-a-million self-managed superannuation funds pay any income tax, experts say, because of generous super concessions and franking credits that are undermining the federal budget.

Tax Office statistics show almost 300,000 self-managed superannuation funds eliminated or reduced their tax bills through exemptions on super and $2.5 billion in franking credits in 2011-12. These are the most recent records available, although experts say the surge in dividend payments since then has further reduced the small amounts of tax paid by these funds, which are often the primary income of wealthy retirees.

At the time, 424,360 funds generated gross taxable income of $32.9 billion. About $15 billion of that was entirely exempt from income tax because the funds were in the pension phase, which doesn't incur income tax.

I would love for any interviewing reporter to ask any of the front benchers especially Hockey, Cormann or Abbott or Abetz or the 2IC (forget his name.....he IS keeping a low profile isn't he?!) or whiney Pyney:

How much is a litre of milk?

How much is a non-supermarket brand loaf of bread? -not a woolies/coles loaf

How much is a bus/train fare for 3/4/5 Zones?

How much is the average weekly rent on a 3x1 unit? a 4x2 house? etc

How much are the cheapest term fees or for a year to go to TAFE to do a certificate 3, say?

How much is 1 kg of washing powder?

How much is a tube of toothpaste?

......

..........................

.......................................how much is a left kidney?

......*sheesh.....how much is the going rate for a brain transplant for all this lot?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brain_transplant

ref A brain transplant or whole-body transplant is a procedure in which the brain of one organism is transplanted into the body of another. It is a procedure distinct from head transplantation, which involves transferring the entire head to a new body, as opposed to the brain only.

Theoretically, a person with advanced organ failure could be given a new and functional body while keeping their own personality and memories....

...........waste of time and effort then Smiley LOL

Time to introduce NINJA loans so that the unemployed don’t need to work.

A foolproof economic model that worked for many years in the USA.

Bankers and their shareholders can continue to get ridiculous returns and then when it all blows up we can blame government and socialists!! It’s a win-win situation!

“In many cases, young people’s self-respect and dignity is eroded. This is true for all people who are unemployed, of course. But for those who are young, unemployment can have a permanent impact by impeding the development of their talents and potential. These are essential ingredients for Australia’s youth to be able to make good choices throughout life.”

The boomer Party politicians that just want young folks to apply for more jobs is right up there on one of the most brutal acts of cruelty we could perpetuate. Not only do they rub their noses in their status, they also force perpetuate the notion it is their fault.

Seriously, can the boomers just f..k off and drive caravans about or something.Smiley LOL

LNP quote of the day - hahahahahahahahhhahahahahahah, where did they find this bunch of talentless fools? Free the Bigots.

Mr Christensen told the Prime Minister that for many Coalition voters, the decision to abandon making it no longer illegal to insult or humiliate someone on the grounds of race was the last straw. He said many were now planning to vote for the Palmer United Party instead of the government.
