As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

Julie Bishop claims Tanya Plibersek undermining Bill Shorten in leadership campaign
Good to see Tanya Plibersek hard at work undermining Bill Shorten, the amount of embittered hatred that ALP politicians have for each other is just incredible...
You missed the point.. one persons ramblings doesn't make it true.
"Cute tactic from Julie Bishop in an attempt to distract from her none too subtle moves on The Lodge," the source said.
"There's never been a clearer case of someone projecting their own ambitions onto others.

Scott Morrison washes his hands of children attacked on Nauru

Tony Abbott keen to campaign in Victorian election; the state government less so
Tony Abbott has alarmed the state government by declaring that he is looking forward to campaigning in Victoria during the lead-up to the state election.
But government insiders are worried that an "Abbott factor" may bleed votes away from the government as voters use the ballot box to vent their frustration over the federal government's performance.

To be fair Polksaladallie, he can only go on programmes that match his intellect - like the alan jones "show" and that other shock crock - can't remember his name - the bully bloke.
The one with the square head? The one who's wife had an AVO out on him?

Smart man Tony, no one in their right mind would want to go on Q&A
So a thumbs up to Tony for not lowering himself and going on the left hate fest called Q&A
So all the coalition politicians who regularly appear on the programme are not in their right minds?
Well, you have confirmed what most of us suspected already.

Thousands of people from all walks of life appear on QandA, and ONLY ONE person refuses.
Who's the odd man out? (No pun intended )

Q&A left hate fest....hahahahahahahahahhaaahaha, funny coming from perennial bolt advertiser and fan of jones who was found guilty of hate speech, ohhhh the hypocrisy.
I remember seeing this on tele and even while cringing at how horribly nasty bishop is I also felt a touch of embarrassment for her because of how bad she was,

Australia for sale: Investment bankers cashing in on Tony Abbott's infrastructure push
Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott is turning out to be an investment banker's best friend.
His center-right government is in the midst of an unprecedented push to build public infrastructure -- and to finance the program, regional authorities are busy selling off state assets, creating a boon for bankers just as Australian corporate mergers and acquisitions slow. Banks including Macquarie Group Ltd., Morgan Stanley and UBS AG have been hired to sell everything from ports to electricity grids, data compiled by Bloomberg show.
