Diary of our stinking Govt.

As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed.  The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.Woman Happy

This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.

and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says

The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.

Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.

"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

Peter Dutton, ex Minister for Health, now Minister for Immigration and Border Protection. What a loser.

In health Sussan Ley is facing a new and more virulent campaign from the medical profession, who consider Abbott's re-jig of the co-payment even more insidious and destructive than the original version. At least the only way to go for Ley is up: her predecessor Peter Dutton was voted by the medicos as the worst health minister in 35 years. Ley has very small surgical boots to fill.

The Australian Doctor article quotes Tasmanian GP Dr Donald Rose as saying: “Dutton will be remembered as the dullest, least innovative and most gullible for swallowing the reforms from his thinktank ... Although I am glad he has been demoted, it would have been good if he was still around to take responsibility for the current chaos he has caused.”

The Abbotts on holiday....

Mr Abbott and his mates don't stay in the caravans, but in some of the well-appointed chalets with beachy elegance style and absolute waterfront and spectacular ocean views, which the park owners rent out for up to $2700 a week in summer.

"Are you contributing in an 'on topic' fashion monman......or are you just bragging and 'shareing' in a selfish and conceited way-as usual, when you cannot argue against facts and truth regards the shyte that this current Govt is pumping out and sledging?"

Again you not unusually miss the point  P007,  regardless of  how much you (and other BIG Myops) post as catharsis, whilst playing Kudos tag.

I am pragmatic when I vote and how I run my economic life, because the  ASX facts/truth are there for all to  observe and would indicate  that currently the Govt are doing OK, as were the Circus, judging by my dividends over many years.

Both main parties indulge in electorate engineering.  and the flocks believe and regurgitate what they are fed, as you so often evidence.

Interesting comment! Facts and truth, like con-trails being evil secret chemtrailing in broad daylight, HAARP ionospheric communication tests being weather manipulation or 6 dead children from milk contamination in China becoming 6000. Love this past comment "no oak trees in Australia". FACTS?

D9275: "what that telstra shares have gone up?  big deal anyone who got conned into purchasing howards T2 would still be spitting chips " buy and hold is a good strategy with the banks, they only go up and up over time"

No one was conned as buying shares is a personal decision.  It was mostly greed coupled with lack of research (caveat emptor).

However, I agree with you regarding the banks as I have all of "the 4" with a very good chunk of CBA in my portfolio (bought them at $6.00) , and whilst I expect the pink Myopics to gnash their teeth in frustration one can hardly complain that this "Govt" is stifiling share market movement, unless of course you have been affected by evil secret chemicals sprayed from above in broad daylight.

Have to include a real image :

Don't live your life through a slavish (unthinking) attachment to a particular bunch of politicians (herd),  be pragmatic as your hip-pocket nerve is best soothed by by a gentle ASX.
