As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed.  The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.

This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.

and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says

The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.

Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.

"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

- excution of women

who do not adhere to their rules.

- Forced marriage

A guy who after 9/11 said in a letter that he was heading back to Afghanistan to support them.

So she supports a guy who supports a regime that is totally against everything Sarah Hanson Young stands for !!!

Yes, well, that would probably be true.

If you support the Greens, you support SHY who supports Terrorists (as she speaks under the Green banner)

who supported a regime that denigrates women.

The Greens have their policies, I understand that even though I don't agree with the majority of them.

But SHY is just a way out nut job, jumping on every outrage bus she can and IMHO, is why the Greens

support is not higher - like Bob Brown said, to become mainstreman the Greens need to broaden the appeal.

She is also damn good at making herself look a fool in public - and therefore making the Greens look stupid

- mixing up reality TV with real life, denigrating decorated soldiers who have achieved far higher office than

she ever will - and being forced to apologise - their is a reason she is known as Australia's dumbest politician.

Adam Bandt on the other hand, now he is dangerous and will achieve more and become another Bob Brown.

The number of men who disapprove of Abbott is increasing.  Before it was women by far who can't cop him.

55% of respondents disapprove of the job Tony Abbott is doing as Prime Minister – up 5% since the last time this question was asked in November – and 32% approve of the job Tony Abbott is doing (down 7%). This represents a change in net rating from -11 to -23.

75% (down 10%) of Liberal/National voters approve of Tony Abbott’s performance, with 15% (up 7%) disapproving. 89% of Labor voters and 84% of Greens voters disapprove of Tony Abbott’s performance.

By gender men were 36% approve/51% disapprove and women 27% approve/61% disapprove.
