Why does a childs Tshirt have anything to do with police brutality Icy? I don't get the connection either.

I have bullet hole stickers on my caravan, on hubbys bike helmet and on a car.

The t-shirts have absolutely nothing to do with this thread.

See my post 183.

It's hypocritical to think it's ok to market toddler's t-shirts with bullet holes printed on the back, implying violence against children, but then crying police brutality when violence is used to subdue an out of control and abusive offender.

i think you were just looking for something, anything, to discredit her and her opinion of this incident and you remembered those tshirts and thought 'aha! gotcha!' and went with that. .

its just nonsense.

This whole thread is nonsense.

Donna picked up a video on youtube which appeared to illustrate police brutality but without further context , had an "aha gotcha moment" and thought she'd use it to stir up a bit of anti-police sentiment on these boards. For reasons of her own, no doubt.

this thread is a discussion on a current news event.
The OP has stated she believes this to be a case of excessive force.

You and your sock puppet id post news articles all the time and give your opinions on them.
Are you trying to stir up anti *insert relevant topic* feelings on the boards for reasons of your own when you do that?

Only one person here has displayed a hate all police sentiment, everyone else has displayed a hate some police cultures of excessive force and cover ups.

You must be referring to Sock. From what I've seen, Sock only posts about fishing articles to amuse and entertain, and rarely gets any response of any kind.

As for myself, yes, I often post on topics that I'm anti about,  find relevant and worth discussing. I'm often countered with quite robust counter-discussion, and wouldn't expect any different.

ah i see how it works - you post for discussion but any one you disagree with posts to incite hate sentiments - got it.

Re: Did the police feel threatened by this guy?

It won't be a jury trial and  the actions of the police will not be taken into account. There is apparently no doubt they took the alcohol (CCTV) and resisted arrest so they appear before the court and their legal representative will make some excuses for them and they will get a speech from the Judge or magistrate and a good behaviour bond/suspended sentence and the shopping centre will put them on a list of banned customers, from that centre. The they will sue the police for unnecessary force and the tax payers will pay for it.

No jury trial huh?, I guess i'm lucky here that they have to give me one or dismiss the case against me. Otherwise judges would just take the side of police knowing they are wrong, and i'd still be nekid  in a holding cell. Uasally people can get somewhere if they hire their own attorney, but that can be expensive. A public defender provided by the court are not gonna do their defendents any favors, they get paid to lose or to plea bargin. They really don't like me because I don't plea bargin. It's not that i'm not scared or worried about losing in a jury trial, it's because i'd be lying if i did plea guilty on anything. Also, i want that jury trial and was disapointed when they instead dismissed the case, because even if a jury rules against me, at least i would have the chance to have my say in court, give my side of things, be heard. Something i never had in court.

another victim of police- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiS-k1IFWl0

Just seems that no one's interested if or not i'm guilty, they treat what to me was a horrible experance like another day at the office. Then maintain the aditude that i'm lucky that they threw out the charges. But then it wasn't them in my shoes, or bare feet in that holding cell, or detention cell. How can they be so disconnected i wonder?

and another- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBjB1uTWG3o

If in fact they are guilty, then i hope they do have to answer for their crime, if for no other reason than, I will ultimately have to take the blame. All these people would have to do is say is that I did it, then testify against me for what they did, and police will be more than happy to release them and arrest me for this. It's happened a few times before. Also, if i couldn't begin to sue the police for unnessary force, i doubt if they can. Unless of course they have there own attorney, something i can't afford, sheriffs got all my money house and effects.

Who just happened to be African American.  What a surprise.

The police were informed before the fact that it was fake.

Re: Did the police feel threatened by this guy?

Actually, anyone remember this one?

I was reminded of it in the baby in the drain post, thanks polocross;

Police officer Bryson Anderson killed in knife attack in western Sydney

A FEUD over a bird aviary is alleged to have sparked the violent altercation which led to the death of 45-year-old Insp Anderson.

Duty officer Insp Anderson arrived at the property about 4pm.

Within moments of being on scene, police allege Insp Anderson was struck to the head with a knife.

With no time to wait for an ambulance helicopter, paramedics rushed Insp Anderson by road to Hawkesbury Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Or this one?

SLAIN police officer David Rixon was shot after he unwittingly interrupted a heroin deal on a Tamworth street, investigators will allege

Police will claim Senior-Constable Rixon had found approximately 500g of heroin in a car he pulled over moments before he was fatally shot last Friday in northern New South Wales.

Senior police yesterday confirmed they believe the officer disturbed a drug deal and was shot twice - in the chest and abdomen - when the alleged driver of the car, Michael Alan Jacobs, panicked.

I agree there's a lot of police brutality out there. But I believe there's even more criminal brutality, and I sure know who I'd call if I was threatened by any alcohol and drug-crazed crim.

There's always two sides to a story.
