They risk their health and life every day on the job.
What risks did you encounter going to work yesterday? Did you need to work out the best way to subdue a crazed, aggressive thief?
ther police force are grouped into the heading that takes number 5 in the most dangerous jobs stakes.....4 times as
many truck drivers, storemen and posties collectively are killed at work

AND you thought your job was tough.
A new report has found that paramedics have one of the most dangerous jobs in Australia, with ambos reporting a higher injury rate than any other group of workers.
Published yesterday in the Medical Journal of Australia, the research analyses Safe Work Australia (SWA) data between 2000 and 2010, finding that paramedics’ risk of injury is seven times higher than the national average.
Surprisingly, the report finds that ambulance officers are more than twice as likely to be injured as cops.
As you can see, they made the list of most dangerous jobs.....thanks for that info.......

Here's another list.......
Australia’s top 10 most dangerous jobs
Commercial fishers. This is globally recognised as the world’s most dangerous job.
Truck drivers. In 2011 there were 200 fatal crashes involving truck drivers, making up 15 percent of road fatalities that year. Truck drivers are 10 times more likely to die on the road than any other occupation.
Farmers. Surprisingly, this was considered the top three most dangerous jobs in the world in 2008.
Miners. Subject to toxic gases and explosions, 50 to 60 Australians die each year due to dangerous conditions in the mines.
Construction workers. So far in 2014, 13 construction workers have died. Leighton Holdings averages 20 to 50 Australians dying each year on construction sites.
Tree loppers. Every day they face the threat of overhead electric wires, unsteady branches and working with dangerous equipment such as chainsaws. Between 2010 and 2012 five tree loppers were reported dead in Sydney alone.
Police. Approximately one police officer dies every year, with the force being subject to disease, abuse, injury, assault and even death every day.
Firefighters. About 44 percent, of firefighters die from heart attacks, with trauma related deaths standing at 27 percent, crashes at 20-25 percent and burns and asphyxiation sitting at 20 percent.Pilots. With adverse weather conditions and possible mechanical failures to contend with, commercial pilots face high risks every day.
Garbage collectors. They not only deal with the threat of accidents on the road, but are also exposed to toxins and chemicals on a daily basis that can lead to long-term damage.
It seems Police work is considered one of the most dangerous jobs in Australia.
Most people have respect for, and are grateful for the hard work they do for us.

I wonder if in an emergency...... you will call the police........ good luck.
Actually, no, i can't even call for an ambulance to take me to the hospital if i get hurt. Last time i tried, the sheriffs came instead and raped me.
I was referring to the Australian cases mentioned in this thread......as this thread is referencing the Australian police.
I don't know if they are as bad as police here, but would imagine cops abusing their power is a problem everywhere in varrying degrees. Police don't target many people the way they do a select few me included, so most don't see it as a growing problem.

Stop ignoring the fact the guy is a criminal, who severely assaulted the police and was resisting arrest.
If he acted in a civil manner, this wouldn't have happened.

There you go, selective reading. I didn't see him steal the wine, what I did see was police brutality. Show me the footage of the theft so I can witness the fact. lol
The point I raise in this thread is the man didn't have any legs (do you get it)??? He could have spray painted his local liberal members office with climate change denier for all I care. It's completely irrelevant. What is relevant was unnecessary force by police.

Sarcasam alert-
Because no one acting in a civil manner ever gets abused by police.

With or without legs he still managed to steal, run from police and commit assault, and resist arrest....do you get it.
His actions, mean he has to go to court and face a judge....... why do people resist arrest?... it won't work out for them.
