did anyone watch the first episode? I suppose it has been shown before on one of the pay channels, but episode 2 is on next Thursday night on SBS1.

It's a Jewish based prophecy about the Red Heifer. Anyone know about this? I read some about it - how 9 red heifers have been sacrificed so far (by the Israelites) and the tenth one is supposed to signal the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem - and Armageddon.

As far as Christians go, the 9 red heifers were a preface to the (tenth and final) sacrifice by Jesus, but as expectedl, the Jewish belief does not accept that and they are still waiting for the tenth pure red heifer to be born.

As I haven't seen this (exept for the first episode) I don't know how it will turn out, and what my reaction will be as the story unfolds, but it's interesting to watch.

Just had a quick look.  It was not picked up for a second season,

so I hope it wasn't left up in the air

You got my interest after I read the synopsis.   Had never heard of the

red heiffer prophecy.

OH downloaded the series - 10 episodes.   Have watched 8 so far.

Looking forward to finding out what happens in the end.

I'm really liking it.   As long as they wrap it all up, no need for series 2.

Did you keep watching it?

I watched half-way through and had a bit of a family emergency - Andrew started banging his head on the kitchen table - why? Who knows.

Tied up all ends nicely

I didn't watch it. After Resurrection and Fortitude I'm very wary of  anything that looks as if it might be dragged out well beyond it's use by date.

I hate watching these sort of movies weekly - I invariably miss one episode and can't catch up.  I'll try to watch it on Thursday but I missed a fair bit of it last week.

Yep.    The whole season.   thumbs up.gif

OH downloaded it.   Watched it in two sittings

Really enjoyed it.

Sort of a cross between National Treasure and Indiana Jones type of thing,

with archeologists and religious fanatics all thrown in together.

If the name J.J.Abrams is listed in the credits,she-ele,then it is something that's going to be dragged out way past its use-by-date. 🙂
