wow. really and for true? i can understand the u.s. posters here but an aussie?  you must live a very sheltered life 🙂

no they are mine, we have a few apples, pears and one other fruit. The Banksia fruit and the board all came from a little wood shop in Leura.

I have only lived in Aust for 13 yrs. Where I live we have lots of Norfolk Pines & centuriesold Fig trees (NSW Sth Coast). I haven't been up close and personal with many other trees, all though I have travelled to other parts of Australia. 🙂

 

(plenty of gum trees here too)

Am, you would have Banksia's around, there are plenty on our coast. Woman Happy

There are banksias on along the coast of far northern nsw. I don't know if they are down sth. Maybe it's too cold for them.

Ive not seem one either and no I dont live a sheltere life. Just not seen one

 

 

Oh and Ive lived here my whole life

 

edit to say. Ive seen the banksia but not the shell/cone/seed thing
