Since last yesterday afternoon I have been getting a hot throbbing, stabbing pain in my leg just below my knee.
What could be causing it ??
Do I need to see a Doctor no ??

Now for an update.
I went to the hospital, after I got there the pain went away, but I wait nearly 7 hours to see a doctor and he said he could find anything wrong.
I have to go to my GP tomorrow about something else so will talk to him about it.
Thanks for all your concern.

I found that my pains get worse when I am still - sitting or reclining, or when I walk for more than few minutes (even around the house/garden), when it is hot day it also hurts more. What relieves the pain is constantly changing position; elevating the leg cannot hurt. I tried support stockings and they gave immediate relief for few minutes and then the pain came back worse than ever. During the heat wave last year I was in absolute agony; the heat compounded by the fact I had too much to do.
Hope your doctor will be able to offer explanation.
By the way, I had some blood clots in my right shoulder/arm 20 years ago. There was no pain, but suddenly there were all these very prominent blue veins/capillaries. When I showed it to my doctor, I was in hospital before I could blink.

Glad to hear you have been to see a Doctor, and are going to tell your own GP.
Better safe than sorry.
LOL, sounds like going to the Dentist with toothache. The moment you enter the surgery, the toothache disppears.

Or taking a really sick child to the doctor, and s/he starts running up and down the corridor while you wait. ๐

I am back from the Doctor's. He is sure it is not a blood clot, and is sending me off for an Ulta sound and believes that it is a Lipoma.
I have been lucky as I got an appointment for tomorrow afternoon.
