Thanks for that tip Freddie xx I've just looked it up on the internet and that looks like it would make a perfect vanilla slice. They mix it with cream and vanilla, yum yum, will definitely try that next time thank you.

Tas, you can also buy a chocolate instant pudding and mix that with cream for something different.

Now there's a plan, I'll try that out next weekend Freddie and let you know how it goes ...

... that's exactly what I made this morning, but I must admit I did cheat a little bit and just made really thick vanilla custard for the middle ... hope the visitors enjoy them. Next time, I'll do it the same way, but add melted chocolate .... Australians seem to be crazy about home made cakes ....
I've never seen it with chocolate sauce, Tas. I think it would be overdoing it. But that's just me. I'm not real keen on chocolate.

I'd only add a tiny bit of melted chocolate into it Icy to give it a kind of 'swirl' effect, you are right though, it would be far too rich to add a lot, it probably wouldn't set right either come to think of it.
Definitely going to try out Freddie's idea with the instant chocolate pudding, I think that would set really nicely.

Do you care less about your weight and appearance once you're married?
I have never had a problem with those 3 aspects of life ๐
