Re: Do you ever use another id to say what you want?

No. I post with one ID. When I started posting it was suggested to me that I create a new ID for that. I thought why? If I am going to be here I will be me. It doesn't bother me if other people have IDs they use for a bit of fun ๐Ÿ˜‰ but nasty ones aren't so great.

Just the one here too, I just couldn't be bothered making up other ID's and I stand for whatever I post

i am confused now.

did you want to say that i am spamming the board with threads or donna is?

lol.

You can answer your own question. All you have to do is look and see who is starting all the threads. I don't see any by you.

LOL why don't you start ANOTHER thread!

Well if I feel like, I will. Donna. Two can play that game.

The question was, why bring up a thread from 2 years ago?

And the other question was, did I mean Lal was starting all the threads.

Obviously the answer is no.

The real reason is I never know who I am speaking to lately yet they seem to know who I am, do you get it?

So? People know who you are because you promote yourself on TV and social media. It's in your interest to keep a high pofile and let people to know who you are in RL.

Most other ppl here are all posting under an assumed ID.

So whether they post under just one ID or 20, makes no difference. They are not revealing their true selves in either case.

I don't agree Icy.  I am revealing my true self.  I don't say things if I don't think/believe them and I don't pretend to be someone I'm not.

Joono

Spot on. What I say on here I would say to someone face to face.

I only switched to a zero id o I had one for posting only.

But I occasionally forget and post under one of my other real ids.

Hard to keep track with 4 computers that I post from LOL so mistakes will happen.

Just don't use the other ids to read the chat boards then and you won't make that mistake.

The truth is that they don't reveal their history of posting on the boards, no biggy it just gets confusing like it would be if your neighbours started wearing masks and you were never sure untill you saw the same walk or the same body shape.

That doesn't make sense really. A person who speaks the same way to all (online, real life), has no need for more than one posting ID's.

Using more  than one posting ID, what is the point if they are revealing their true selves on each ID? If not revealing true selves, then they are being deceptive.

That is what I think as well, how do these people get on in real life? Can't pull out a wig and sunglasses and change their name to speak with people they know, when they feel like it.

No,  that's rubbish, Am. You yourself have changed your ID over the years, yet your posting style and your opinions remain the same.

Many posters here have done the same.

One's opinions always remain the same, no matter how many different ID's one takes on.

Look at Evu for instance. She has freely disclosed her original ID, no hiding there.

My point is, that no matter how many times you choose to change your posting ID, your personality, opinions, posting style will always be recognisable.

So those paragons of virtue who pride themselves on being straight up because they've only ever posted under the one ID only show themselves to be unimaginative.
