Woolies, Aldi and Coles admit to child slavery seafood link.
This is absolutely disgusting. I will make sure I get prawns from Tasmania, local fishermen or I won't have any at all.
I am not going to support slavery. I'd rather go without.

I have only ever bought Aussie prawns.
If I couldn't get them, then I went without

We live a half hour drive from a Light Plane Airport. They bring in fresh Crays, Oysters and Prawns, plus other sefood. Cost a bit mor than from Supermarkets, but at least we know it is Australian.

We have a couple of good fishmarkets - one especially down on the harbour.
You can see the boats come in with the mornings catch if you are early enough.
When in doubt - ask the fish their nationality - they are that fresh.
(well they are Aussie).
Surgeon - when asked what I should eat for vascular - said - fish & lettuce.
Now looking like a flop eared rabbit with a dorsal fin.

Yes myoclon, and so are many other products. Like all those expensive designer brands that people break their necks to own, they are all made under slavery and childlabour conditions for very little or no pay at all.
My initial thought was that it is Christmas time and Australian custom is to have prawns on the Barbie.

This is an old issue with me why we even have to import seafood from overseas. Yuk.
We are the largest Island in the world surround by beautiful oceans and we have to import rubbish seafood from asian countries.
A disgrace.

Well now I've heard it from straight from source. You Auzzies actually do barbeque prawns. And here's me thinking that this was just a phrase made up by us Poms, for you down under folks....(i.e) "Hey Bruce mate, chuck another prawn (shrimp) on the barbie".
You learn something every day.
