Before I am kicked off of the board for good, thought I'd create a non political post.
So, do you make your pancakes from scratch or a do you buy a fill and shake bottle from the supermarket?
Also.....how important is maple syrup? Too American or too tasty?
Easy cleanup is my choice so I just buy the maple or banana flavored and fill it with water and woolah.
Bananas/whipped cream and maple syrup!

Home made pancakes with lemon and sugar. Maple syrup sometimes but it has to be real maple syrup.

Sometimes from scratch sometimes with a shaker.
You are supposed to make them with plain flour I think but I often make them with SR they become fluffy

real maple tastes a tad off, every $9 - $10 funny shaped bottle I buy just tastes a tad off.
So it's back to the artificial 99% sugar stuff.
Maple on bacon and eggs = Canadian breakfast.....ewww

Homemade, only buy real Canadian Maple Syrup. Lemon & Sugar is nice too.

Maybe you are so used to the artificial maple syrup, the real stuff tastes strange to you? I have heard others say the same.

Yes, I do make them from scratch.
I have tried the bottle mix and thought it was disgusting. Tried both banana and strawberry. They tasted too floury or something. The ones I make from scratch are so much nicer. Maple syrup is OK.

Does anyone use buttermilk in their homemade pancakes (cafes do)?
