Do you send your child(ren) to private during the school holidays? Two weeks staying at home doing nothing and with no adult supervision (assuming both parents are working), is both slothful and dangerous.
That's why I enrolled my children into Pre-Uni College, giving them the best chance of competing against fellow Asians students and getting into James Ruse High.

Gawd, I just thought back too. We used to play "schools"
Of the 11 girls in our street, 6 ended up in the teaching profession - and a couple others, if not for slothfulness at real school, would have been too.
Mostly, the "street gang" used natural abilities or what we had learnt with our after school-hour pastimes (music, dance, paint, imagination, etc ) we put on plays, or recited and held concerts for our families on the final weekend of the holiday in one of the backyard sheds or garages.
Parents were probably glad there were only 3 terms back then. And, everyone knew the neighbours.

What do you do on your holidays kuromusha? You know, that time you have off from your regular work. Do you spend it doing extra work so you can get ahead of your colleagues, or do you do things you enjoy doing and take a rest from working?

Gosh you need some serious $$$$$s to afford private tuition for a fortnight for 2 kids.
Might be cheaper to have taken a Farm Stay holiday, seeing that their parents want them enrolled in an Agricultural College.
I hope your wife has the obligatory massive 4WD to drop them off at the school gate.

You obviously don't read the buying/selling boards, Lloyds. Kuromusha has a SIX FIGURE SALARY. He has told us so . . . . . often.

if the children are primary school aged many parents send them to me ๐ We do lots of interseting things, today was the movies, tomorrow is a PJ party with games next week is inflatable world and a dolphin cruise not to mention all the games and activities (we have a pinball machine all week) And in all that, the children get to hang out with friends and relax if that is what they wish to do.
Life has to be a balance of work and play. Down time is so important for children

Jesus, don't tell me you really thought James Ruse is an agricultural college where you grow tomatoes and raise pigs..
James Ruse is the most selective high school in this entire country, it is very difficult to get it, full of Asian kids with no interest in agriculture, but maximisation of their ATAR, the "agricultural" is nominal only.

And yet some Asian nations are buying up Australian agricultural land?
I hope some of the students do go into agricultural studies, because the World is going to need all the help it can get, to feed itself.

The following is from the News & Events section of James Ruse Agricultural High School's Site:
Socialising in the holidays โ It is very important that students are encouraged to go on outings with their classmates during the upcoming holidays. Independence must be taught and practised.
