Unfortunately LL that is the attitude that a lot of people have, seems a bit insecure in my opinion, inferiority complex perhaps?

  nothing like it, friends will attempt things if they fancy ones partner. its the nature of the beast.  i did the same thing with little or no remorse myself when younger. no point deluding oneself , its what drives people.
