Peek has been called a "mega-savant" for his ability to memorise to the word up to 12,000 books, including the Bible and the Book of Mormon. He could read two pages in about 10 seconds – the right page with his right eye and the left simultaneously with his left eye.
He knew phone books by heart, and could tell you what day of the week a particular date fell upon going back decades. One of his party tricks was to tell strangers the names of the people who used to live next door to them years ago.
At the same time, though, he had deep disabilities and relied on his father Fran for help dressing, brushing his hair and other simple motor skills.

Did they say if he was reading the forums on ebay at the time of his passing?
No doubt that would do anyone in if they had a good memory or high IQ

Yeah, I was wondering why anyone with a very high IQ would post regularly on CS or any other general run of the mill forum?

@crikey*mate wrote:so in Australia, 1 out of every 11,ooo people will have an IQ of 160
22 million/ 11,000 = 2000
so there will be 2000 people who will acheive a score of 160 according to that chart
but what is the chart and why isn't it recognized?
why won't any of the recognized tests give that number?
why do they have a ceiling of 160?
Maybe the 160 is a Queensland thing, they don't need anything higher than 160?
Yes I have the proof, today Brisbane, Queensland which lies east of Adelaide is half an hour behind in time, now go figure your longitude and the Prime Meridan and then you will have your proof why they don't need anymore than 160 in QLD

no not really.
it has no theme, no plot, no intrigue, no surprises.
But the dialogue is scintillating.

I was educated in NSW so had no choice in doing IQ tests, you had to do them and if you took the day off school they would make you sit in the library on another day with all the others who took the day off school and do the test at lunchtime.
Higher education also brought with it the compulsory aptitude tests and IQ tests, for what reason I no not.
I will have to take one sometime in the future as I am donating my brain to science (along with the rest of my body) when I die and I will also have to do some sort of mri with activities while having the mri, (puzzles, recall and other problem solving activities).

which one EM ? and how ?
Hello Underbat , would you please clarify this for CS posters .Are members required only to stick to each boards topic/topics ?
ie; help boards TopicS would be buying/selling etc
Community Spirit's actual topic is general discussion (non ebay related)
Is it written anywhere (and if so can you post the information) that each post on our General Non Ebay related discussion board (CS) needs to stick to the topic in the thread title/opening post ?
CS's board TOPIC is general discussion isn't it ?
What is general discussion ?
