Are there no forums for individuals with high IQ's? Where one can discuss topics with others with high IQ's (excluding cats, of course).
General question . are people with high IQ's good at spelling? If not, why not?
People with high IQs are good at doing IQ exams and that does not translate in any way to any aspect of life.
Maybe they are more motivated to learn/study and the higher IQ helps in education but a high IQ by itself will not pass exams for you (unless it is an IQ exam).)

For people to say they have an IQ of this or that, they have to sit a proper exam and be tested right?
Higher IQ doesn't equal common sense in some cases either.

Not necessarily.

Why not?
There could be quite a few people in the world with a high IQ but have never been tested.

Anybody with an IQ over 120 is in the top 10% of smartest people in the world. (That's 10 people in every hundred).
@However, a person with an IQ of 130 or above keeps company with only 2.1% of the population. or @145 it's .15
My IQ is 167 so how many do I keep company with?
Which IQ test?
The WIISK and Stanford and Binet have a 160 ceiling.
As does the SOI which mesures 26 areas of the intelligence (as opposed to two) but it is not recognized as an authoritive source.

For anyone wishing to undertake an on line I.Q. test may I suggest shunning the ones hosted by US sites as they tend to over inflate the results to boost the ego of those who are being tested, mostly Americans, they also tend to be biased towards all things American and neglect to acknowledge the the the rest of the world exists.

You are 100% correct.
The two recognized tests are
WIISK (WIIPSY for little kids) or the Stanford and Binet.
These are the two Mensa compliant tests.
second sentence is correct as well.
The two recognized IQ tests measure only your verbal and non verbal intelligence and take an average of those two scores only. Once combined, a score of over 130 puts you into the "gifted" category.
A person can be gifted, but not necessarily talented.
