Does Murdoch control what people think?

I see many examples here where people cut and paste as though it is gospel.

When I went to school I used to believe everything I was told, now I have grown up I read and decipher for myself.

Don't underestimate your fellow man Nero, if the peoples forums are anything to go by then it's not as bad as Murdoch portrays.

Re: Does Murdoch control what people think?

Did anyone watch Media Watch last night. It made a very good point that journalism these days has become more about giving opinions than reporting news.

Obviously Murdoch, like any media owner, is going to push whatever barrel he sees as being most lucrative for him personally - and the more the focus of journalism slides away from factual reporting, the easier it is for him to fill his newspapers with his opinions and the harder it is for readers to get the information they need to make their own minds up.

One of the reasons he doesn't want the NBN is because he doesn't want people to download things fast that he can earn a buck from, correct me if I am wrong 🙂
