To what lengths should a country go to to protect its inhabitants and borders?

"Here in Australia, our homogeneity, which used to be predominantly Christian, white, European in origin"
Wow, I could have sworn there were all shades of brown people here before the ones you describe.

mmmm Israel isn't a good example. they became unruly squatters who evicted the locals . the same people who happened to invite them in out of sympathy. not a good example.

I suppose we could be like Italy if nothing is done to protect our country from illegal immigration.
We have a government with the guts to tell it like it is and not lie like Labor did, for years, when their border policy blew up in their faces and brought destruction on themselves at the ballot box.
All the bleating is just an example of what the left and Labor will continue to do if they ever get back into power.
The just don't learn from their failed policies, they have continued to stick their head in the sand re what the majority of voters want and went ahead and exercised their right to oust Labor.
The more they attack PM Abbott and his border policy, the more determined the majority are to keep them out.
