the turn back the boats' mantra is dead in the water. the australian navy and the indonesians have made that quite clear. so what else do we have of the pacific solution left that gillard hasn't used ? tpv 's . ? hilarious. i must admit to looking forward to the day people realise abbott's rhetoric will stop nothing, and its another empty promise. will you call him Liar then ? 🙂

Well LL John Howard did it so why can't another Lib PM, JH was tough and the do gooders cried but soon "no boats in Darwin harbour " I have family in Darwin and they were all thrilled when the boats stopped being towed into Darwin harbour.

Unfortunately this gov does not have the 'bouncers" to keep up the good work he did to stop the boats but the boats kept coming resulting in the loss of many lives, hope they sleep well at night knowing they are partly responsible for those deaths.
