Best not mention top & tailing in any OP.

I have no answer for that question. That doesn't appeal at all, who wants someone else's feet on your pillow

Thank you for the on-behalf kudos, Clair 😄
I don't mind the occasional off topic post, just like this one lol... better than starting a whole new thread to thank Clair for the on-behalf kudos. Although, that might be a good idea.
Except, this is not really an off topic post. It's a bit of social banter. Two different things.
An off topic post is, for instance (and this is only my opinion) if someone posts a thread on whether a kitchen appliance, for example is worth purchasing. Then several posts in, someone posts their political view, or their view on how this appliance could encourage pedos or something equally irrelevant to the topic of that particular thread. Then someone posts a C & P or a cartoon with their opposing views and the original topic/query/question is lost amid the usual oneupmanship of the boards.

This entire board is off topic for eBay thus the rule of being off topic on a board does not apply, unless the post is about something on a topic which is best suited to another board and then, as we have apparently seen, the mods will move it to the appropriate board.
There is no rule ANYWHERE which states that posts must remain on topic of the OP.

Yeah but nev you wouldn't really post on an open forum that your 22 yr old son tops & tails with his mates while away at concerts would you?

You don't seem to understand chat boards at all. Just because this one is part of Ebay doesn't mean that internet ettiquette should not be observed. If you wish to be anti social, can you be so somewhere else where it doesn't infringe on others rights to not have a discussion they wish to participate in disrupted by irrelevant, pointless and distracting posts? Doing that in a public chat forum indicates you value your entertainment above others wish for informative conversation.

Have no idea what you're talking about because the topic of the thread didn't interest me, so I didn't open it. And I had no problem doing so.
