Show your community spirit! Talk with fellow members about non eBay related topics.
That to me, doesn't mean CS threads have no topics.
The threads do have topics, for example: politics, cats, carbon tax, dangerous dog attacks, ancestor research etc and some long running general chat threads.
The threads do not have eBay related topics as there are other boards for those.

it still has nothing to do with the fact my request in my op was ignored.
where i posted it is irrelevant
I disagree.
What you posted and your request for responses to remain "on topic" and subsequently where it was moved to is extremely relevant.

Pepe, you seem to be have been expecting other members (who are just like yourself) to followyour instructions
while you yourself were disregarding the instructions that are actually relevant to all members by you yourself posting a topic that Ebay says is off topic for this board ?
Everyone who joined in/posted on that opening post of yours (if they complied with your OP requests) was also off topic for CS.If they said "Hello" to someone they wouldn't be off topic for CS as that would be general discussion.
fortunately your off topic post could be moved as there is an appropriate board for posts relating to the New Experience...
The topic on CS is non ebay related general discussion ...off topic general discussion ,if such a thing exists. ..can't be moved as there is no other board for 'general non ebay discussion' to be on topic...instead it would be totally removed/warnings sent for individual members where necessary for these off topic general chat posts.

say the thread title read : Cats
from that one word ...posts may be about domestic cats, wild cats, feral cats, vet bills for cats, cats at the zoo,the Geelong footy club,Local Governments doing more to help cat rescue/rspca,desexing of cats, council animal registration fees,a run over cat,a toy cat,a cat painting, the cat next door, the fish eaten by a cat,the cat next door and the lady next door who doesn't feed it,the price of cat food,a cat painting, tickets to a footy match ,animal insurance, cat traps ,cat poo,cat cemetries ,allergies to cats.
an extreme dislike of cats
none of those posts would be off topic just because someone decides that they are.

my thread was NOT about ebay it was about the new board features.
I did not INSTRUCT anyone to do anything, I made a reasonable request to stick to the topic, which as I said was ignored.
Each thread on here is a topic in its own right - nitpicking and dramatics does not change that.

Pepe, I just re-read your thread and I can't find any off topic posts on it.

.That issue seems to be improving

I just went and read that thread too Joono & I agree there don't seem to be any off topic posts there. unless posts have been removed?? I have no idea, I don't think I even posted on it myself. There was one post about moderation in the thread, but it was relevant IMO
The thread was about suggestions for the new boards, so it must have been moved to the New Community Experience board as that is what that board is for, discussing the new platform
