A WA Liberal MP has claimed Australians are unknowingly being converted to Islam by eating Halal meat.

In a speech to Parliament yesterday, backbencher Luke Simpkins said most Australians did not know that most of the meat they ate came from animals killed in accordance with Muslim law.

“By having Australians unwittingly eating Halal food we are all one step down the path towards the conversion, and that is a step we should only make with full knowledge and one that should not be imposed upon us without us knowing,” Mr Simpkins told Parliament.

“What is happening is wrong. Too often the minorities in this country are looked after without regard to the majority.”

Mr Simpkins said he had carried out an unofficial survey in his northern-suburbs electorate of Cowan and had discovered that most meat at major chains such as Coles or Woolworths had been killed under Halal conditions, but had not been labelled as such.

He tabled a petition demanding that all Halal meat be clearly identified, complaining people could not buy meat for their “Aussie barbecue” without the influence of the “minority religion”.

There is nothing humane about killing any animals.......

.... or vegetables and fruit.

Imagine the trauma of a carrot, one second absorbing nutrients and at peace with the world and than WHAM !!! Nutrient depravation, eventual dismemberment and immersion in boiling watrer.

if the Muslims say they kill animals in a humane way, I wish they would do that.

But they don't. That is obvious

And this upcoming pilgrimage - the Hajj - millions of them circling a stone several times.

now this also means an animal sacrifice as part of the pilgrimage.

So out there, there are now countless unfortunate animals awaiting their barbaric fate

I do agree with you on one thing though, Bob and that is the ritual slaughter.  I am against that.

the thing is, Muslims believe that it is a humane way to kill animals. 

There's plenty of ritual slaughters in the bible and the bible God was suddenly kind enough to stop human sacrifice by replacing it with animal sacrifice. Are you against the bible God Eve? Am I the only one who reads the bible?

There's a difference between beliving it's a humane way vs reality of being humane.

And this is different from the way it is done in so-called "humane" abbatoirs ?

In a nutshell ritual halal slaughter requires the animal to be stunned AFTER it has had

its throat cut and is bleeding out, , fgs.     As opposed to stunning before.  If that is not barbaric then I don't know what it is.

It is for that reason that I will not buy halal meat if I know that's what it is.

Pumpkins also have a traumatic termination to their life 😞

Imagine your umbilical chord being severed, even though within you you are carrying the embryos of the net generation of your genus. and to top it all off you are disembowel. your potential offspring are either discarded or tortured in a gas oven and then their shells cracked open and eaten.

You too are in for no less harsh treatment, your fate is either the oven after being diced with sharp implements or boiling water.
