Police have seized more than $20m worth of drugs as well as an Uzi submachine gun and an assault rifle at a property in Sydney's west.
Last Thursday detectives from the drug squad went to a property at Edensor Park during an operation for Strike Force Herd, which investigates the manufacture of prohibited drugs.
They say they found chemicals and equipment from a clandestine drug laboratory in a car and box trailer that were parked outside the property, which were taken to a police holding yard to be inspected.
Inside the car and box trailer they found more than 50kg of drugs, including 14.7kg of heroin, 6.2kg of amphetamines tablets, 1.2kg of methylamphetamine, 30kg of ephedrine and 5L of methylamphetamine oil. Combined the drugs have an estimated street value of $20.8m.
Police say they also found numerous firearms, including the Uzi, an assault rifle with a silencer, four handguns, two sawn-off shotguns and ammunition.

If the suspect was found to be receiving benefits, it would complete the stereotype for you wouldn't it?
