How intoxicated you become when drinking could boil down to the simple choice of whether or not you mix diet soda or regular with your vodka or rum, a new study finds.

I must be very fortunate in that case, I am neither fat or drunk as i consume none of the te mentioned beverages :0

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Jokes aside, it's kinda interesting the affect "diet" drinks have on alcohol absorption.
I quite like a vodka and lemonade before dinner, but had no idea that the "diet" lemonade I was buying was actually increasing my blood alcohol level.

I still don;t get how that works. So the study says the alchohol is absorbed quicker but surely if you are mixing your drink with a non-alc drink then you are drinking a lower volume of alcohol anyway?
