Do you have one, are you happy with it? Some reviews I have read don't sound promising I have the Dyson upright and mainly want this for say cob webs, for cleaning in the window runners, rugs which need a run over.

Yes I do, Freddie. I am happy with it but I will tell you two things that I don't always like about it. Firstly it is great for all those things that you want and it's great for quick clean ups. I have had two stick vacuums. I had an electrolux one first but I found that on my hard floors if I was trying to clean up things like sand or rice it would spit it out the sides but was still ok. With the Dyson it doesn't, it does a good job.
The two things are that the motor is at the top where your hand is. because of this and my stinky dog I sometimes get it blowing in my face. It has to be like that, otherwise you wouldn't be able to use it also like a normal dust buster cleaner.
The other thing is that you have to hold the trigger all the time to make it stay on. Mine is quite old and maybe with a newer version there is a way to make it click constantly on. It's to save power because you only get about 6 minutes of max power on a full charge. That is plenty to give my rugs a quick vac and clean up the bathroom. (Dog likes to sleep in there).
I'm not sorry I bought it. I use it a lot and I've got the big Dyson for a whole house vacuum.

Thanks j*oono the reviews I read were mostly critical of needing to hold the trigger on all the time, I personally thought that was a minor thing and understood the reasoning behind the need to have it that way.

Got a DC29 here and its terrible 😉
it forever needs emptying with all the stuff it picks up. and the mats that it tries to suck up off the floor.
Nothing like the old one that went months without needing an empty and never attempted to lift the mats.

A vacuum cleaner that can go for months without needing to be emptied isn't doing it's job 😄
