Without using "faith, is it possible to prove historically that Jesus Rose from the Dead?
These are the main evidence for the resurrection of Jesus based on foremost Christian Apologists.
Jesus was crucified
Tomb was found empty
Women are reported as Witnesses to his empty tomb
Jesus' followers and Paul(an Enemy) saw Jesus after he died.
The best explanation is that Jesus Rose from the dead according to apologists.
Do these "facts" convience you?

Mr. Rabbitearbandicoot, let me clarify ....
I meant if those who followed the teachings of Jesus really did take it seriously, the degree to which those christians should and could have followed his words would be far greater and the chaos that ensued (and has done ever since) would not be so profoundly horrible.
It doesn't surprise me that some who say "I am a christian" do the exact opposite (and worse) of what they say is the very foundation of their faith.
While nobody expects christians to be perfect and unflawed, they are just humans after all like the rest of us, why is it that they ignore many of their own beliefs and pour so much hatred and misery on innocent people. I've never understood that mentality. It should be so different.
If Jesus was alive now, I think he would be horrified.

I think you are right.

I always think how drugs were probably involved in the making of some religions,
A common theme seems to be how someone went into a cave and they saw or spoke to a deity.
They only have to make a few people believe them and religion was formed from that,(I wonder if they had the
gift of the gab and that's why they were believed so easily).
The American Indian medicine man go into a cave for guidance,(they Cherokee talked to the little people).
Other religions have used a similar concept.
So how much "wacky" stuff did they use in those caves?
Did the followers use any "wacky" stuff,(or were influenced by it through the burning of it,eg: a funeral pyre
stacked with "herbs").
The followers would have said anything to make others believe and Paul could have being convinced that is
was in his best interest to say he saw him,
Religions seem to be started in times of "need",(when things are at a lob ebb somewhere and the people need
to believe in something).
So the ones that start or perpetuate it are held in great esteem,(so they benefit by making others believe).
Then down the line they can make them believe anything they want,

No, these facts suggest that he wasn't dead when entombed and that he regained consciousness and escaped, with assistance.

Exactly! If the early church had not been so ready to twist the teachings of Jesus and add in so much from the Pagan religions, we would all have been better off. The Pope has ruled for 2,000 years - and Yes, I do mean ruled - it has tried to influence all Political fields in all countries. It has only been in the last 100 years or so that people have dared to challenge what the Roman Catholic Church has taught, and especially so in the last 50.
It doesn't surprise me that some who say "I am a christian" do the exact opposite (and worse) of what they say is the very foundation of their faith. You have to bear in mind that 95% of those who claim to be Christian, are not! And, I am not talking about the individual Catholics and the individual Protestants, I am talking about the ones who, on the census or wherever put themselves down as Catholic or Baptist or whatever simply for something to put down.

What facts are those?
If the whippings didn't kill him, and the Crusifiction didn't kill him then I am pretty sure the spear in the side would have done the trick.

If you can read the post you replied to you should be able to understand which facts the post was in answer to.
