Just curious, G&M ... where in the Bible does it talk about moderation?  

Don't ask me for chapter and verse. Too much work. But the Bible doesn't forbid drinking, just drunkenness. Even Jesus drank wine.

Speaking of movies. I saw one last night titled "We have a Pope"  Funny, a little silly but funny.

At the moment of the public announcement, with the faithful  gathered in St. Peter's Square and the cardinal proto-deacon ready to announce the name of the new pope, the newly-elected pope has a panic attack and fails to appear on the balcony.

Meep, I can see that you are someone who can laugh at their own faith. I like that. Too many people get way too easily offended. It's way too personal to them. I laugh at jokes about atheists and agnostics, so why can't many Christians laugh at themselves?

I have a friend from back in High School days who I recently reconnected with on Facebook. If it's possible for something like a "fundamentalist" Catholic to exist, she's it! She is really, really into it. Her Facebook page is plastered with Catholic stuff. She would be offended by that video, considering it an attack on her faith. She would also be offended by the hilarious "Every sperm is sacred" Monty Python thing you pointed out to me some time ago (which I had never seen before). I would never dare share those with her. She would be furious! It's nice to see a Catholic who can takes a lighter approach. But I suspect most Catholics are more like you and less like her.
