Last time I went to church a whole bunch of us had been to the casino on Xmas eve (when on holidays) and we decided to go to church, we had a few chips left over so we put them in the plate as it was being passed around.
The minister (pressbutton) thanks us all for the varying types of donation and gave us a sideways glance with an amused smile on his face.
No doubt he would have been seen cashing them in soon after.

West's works were often focused on international politics and the role of the Roman Catholic Church in international affairs. One of his most famous works, The Shoes of the Fisherman (1963), described the election and career of a Slav as Pope, 15 years before the historic election of Karol Wojtyลa as Pope John Paul II. The sequel, The Clowns of God, described a successor Pope, who resigned the papacy to live in seclusion, just as Pope Benedict XVI did in 2013.
